scelta VTX-VRX

Ciao a tutti, pensando di allestire il mio easystar per il volo FPV e volendo fare una spesa che mi porti ad acquistare elettronica che non abbandonerò per molto tempo sto pensando a queste due soluzioni:

- 5.8 GHz 500mW VTX e RTX

-oppure quest'altra con VTX e VRX

Voi cosa scegliereste? o meglio: non essendo esperto di questo campo che vantaggi avrei nel tempo a prendere l'una o l'altra?

Took the plunge and checked the datasheet of their Rx modules out. You miss a VERY important point on this one!!!

Their minimum input sensitivity is -85dBm

The RF-Link Modules I use (ok this is the thread about the Tx but still), is having a minimum input sensitivity of -90dBm

This means, that for a given Tx output power you get more than double the range with a RF-Link compared to the airwave.

So compareing your 500mW Tx with the one I present here this basically means that you can expect pretty much the same range!

Speaking of output power alone, there IS a 500mW RF-Link version available compatible with the Tx and Rx modules we talk about in this thread. Alas, when paired with the stock Rx (again the one with -90 dBm) this will result in slightly more than double the range compared to the Tx you praise here. :-)
